Bridging the gap between development and operations.
I’m Ashutosh Saxena, a DevOps enthusiast with a strong foundation in Java, Linux, and various DevOps technologies including Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, and Kubernetes. My passion for technology started in my father’s computer shop, where I was introduced to my first computer game. Since then, I’ve been a tech enthusiast.
I’m a big introvert who enjoys running, reading, and solving puzzles. I’m a fan of critical thinking, philosophy, and the idea of open source. code for the people, by the people. It feels like democracy, which I deeply appreciate.
My journey in tech has been diverse. I’ve worked with hardware in my father’s shop, developed software, and now I’m diving deep into the world of DevOps. I’ve had the privilege of participating in Google Summer of Code, where I contributed to a Docker-based project under the Jenkins organization.
As I continue to build my portfolio, I look forward to deepening my knowledge in Kubernetes and AWS, with a goal to achieve AWS SysOps and Kubernetes CKA certifications. I’m excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in my DevOps journey!
A palette of skills for seamless tech solutions.
Cornerstone of my Tech Journey
During my participation in the Google Summer of Code for the Jenkins Project, I made significant strides in streamlining the Jenkins setup process. By leveraging Docker Compose. This involved the development of Bash scripts for container initiation and termination, as well as the creation of custom Dockerfiles for specific tutorials. To ensure the reliability of the Docker Compose files, I implemented regular testing through GitHub Actions. In addition to these technical improvements, I focused on enhancing the user experience by creating user-friendly documentation, tutorials, and a one-click Gitpod setup. This project provided me with hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and a deeper understanding of its role in automating various aspects of the development process. It also honed my proficiency in crafting Docker Compose files, writing shell scripts, and creating technical documentation.
Turning ideas into reality, one project at a time.
